Georgia Visa Rules for UAE Residents: The One Real Residency-Based Waiver
Ninety days visa-free on the strength of your Emirates ID - with one condition people miss and a fifteen-country carve-out that includes Pakistan.
Short answer
Georgia is the one destination where your UAE residence visa itself gets you in. UAE residents of most nationalities can enter visa-free for 90 days within any 180-day period, as long as the residence permit stays valid for the whole stay. Emirati passport holders get up to a year. Nationals of fifteen listed countries, Pakistan included, are excluded from the simple route and need either a UAE multi-entry visa valid at least a year, or a Georgian C1 tourist e-visa.
Almost every “visa-free for UAE residents” claim on the internet falls apart when you check it against the destination’s own embassy. Georgia is the exception that holds up, which is why it deserves an article of its own rather than a line in a listicle.
It is also, conveniently, about four and a half hours from Dubai, with Caucasus mountains in summer, ski season from December, and a cost of living that makes a long weekend there cheaper than most GCC alternatives.

The 90-in-180 counting works the same way as Schengen: it is a rolling window, not a calendar reset. Two 50-day trips in the same six months will put you over.
The condition people miss
The residence permit must be valid throughout the stay, not merely on the day you land. If your Emirates ID expires two weeks into a three-week trip, you are outside the terms of the waiver from that point.
This is the single most common way a residency-based entry goes wrong, and it is entirely avoidable. Before booking, put your permit expiry date and your return date side by side.

If you are on the carve-out list
Two routes. The first is a UAE multi-entry residence-linked visa valid for at least a year, which some residents already hold. The second is the Georgian C1 tourist e-visa, applied for online in advance. Neither is difficult, but both take time, and neither should be started after you have booked a restricted-fare ticket.

When to go, and what it costs to get there
Tbilisi runs a genuine four-season climate, which is unusual for a short-haul option from the Gulf. June to September is hiking and wine country weather. December to March is ski season in Gudauri, about two hours from the capital. The shoulder months, April to May and October to November, are the cheapest and arguably the most pleasant.
Fares from the UAE follow the season closely, so the visa flexibility is worth more than it looks: because you are not locked into a visa appointment date, you can move on a fare drop. Compare live fares to Tbilisi from Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah and pair it with a hotel in the same booking.
